Self-acceptance

Self acceptance is acceptance of self inspite of deficiencies. It involves self-understanding and awareness of one's strengths and weaknesses.
Becoming more self-accepting necessitates that we begin to appreciate that, ultimately, we're not really to blame for anything--whether it's our looks, Intelligence, or any of our more questionable behaviors.
It results in an individual's feeling about himself that he is of "unique worth".
Self-acceptance begins with the intention of celebrating your strengths and acknowledging your weaknesses. It is an invitation to stop trying to change yourself into the person you wish to be, long enough to find out who you really are. It’s not about becoming a new person, but becoming the person you were meant to be, and already are, but don’t know how to be.
