Developing your sense of Humour

One supreme pleasure that spans all people is laughter. Little can compare to the feeling of a deep, complete, heartfelt laughing spell. No matter your age, wealth, race, or living situation, life is good when laughter is frequent.
Life is also healthier. Humour can help you  cope better with pain, enhance your immune systems, reduce stress, even help you live longer, and you'll get along more with colleagues.
Here are few tips to help develop your sense of humour.
Observe life: Life offers many humorous moments, you need to be watching out for them and taking note of them. While it can be difficult at times to find the funny side in unfortunate events when you're having a bad day, try to think about how the situation might look like to other people, and endeavor not to get angry. Laughing over minor incidents will help you in preventing a loss of temper that you will regret later.
Watch comedies and read funny articles: Try to watch comedies and go on websites to read some funny articles. Pay attention to the jokes. Eventually, you will understand why people think some things are so funny.
Be ready to try out jokes on people: They won’t always work but you'll soon get the hang of it and learn what makes people laugh. It’s worth trying to learn a few jokes that you can pull out when you need to.
Lighten up: if you're taking things too seriously, it’s too hard to be funny. Stop viewing everything as an intelligence test and start seeing the lighter mood of life.
Open up: Smile more often, and laugh even when something may not be funny. When you open up yourself, you will begin to see things you haven’t seen before.
Learn from friends: look at friends that you think have a great sense of humour. How do they deal with situations, and what kind of jokes do they make? Is there anything you can take away from their actions? Also learn from kids, spend time with children and see where they find humour in strange situations.
Knowing where to draw the line
Avoid being offensive: Always think carefully about the kind of jokes you tell, and how they might cause offense. What might seem funny to you may actually end up offending someone close to you, even if you don’t realize it at the time.
Don’t go overboard with your humour: Forced and awkward humour isn't going to be much fun for everyone, so try to relax and let humour come naturally over time. The best jokes are spontaneous and unplanned.
